Getting Hurt And Moving On
Sometimes, being at tip-top shape even if you are not feeling well is one of the best deceiving effort one can pull even at the most trying times. Being hurt by the one you love can leave unexplained pain and suffering to your being. It is also a blow to your ego, whether you admit it or not.
Loving someone can take you to different heights, and yes, it can either make or break your personality. Loving entails big risks, and it entails sleepless nights with buckets of tears. Yes, it turns you into a mushy being. And yes, loving someone entails acceptance.
SO how do I move on? That's a question that I actually found a bit challenging to be fair. There are a lot of ways to actually move on from that loving feeling, or the feeling of being in love. It depends on what I wanted to be after the feeling of not being able to cope. To be honest, the pandemic might have added undue stress but still, this is nothing compared to someone who had been led on and left hanging in mid-air.
1. Getting a grip of yourself. This may sound cliche' to some, but I had been able to get a grip of myself once the decision to end the misery was finalised. It didn't actually took overnight, but it was a constant battle of will and wit and pure grit. Walk away from the things that will hurt.
2. Stop reminiscing. The more you think about it, the more you will get stressed. So deleting the memories and starting anew is a way to move on. Learning to accept that things are not for you and will never work out for you will help you gravitate towards what is important --- self love.
3. Be comfortable with being solo. Explore the world and your surroundings and be conscious of the environment. When you start paying attention to Nature and your own self improvement instead of seeking validation from others, you will be more happy and less stressed.
4. Get enough rest and get a social media detox. This is a helpful way of moving forward from a difficult and frustrating experience. It will allow you to be positive in your disposition. Personally, it helped me to overcome anxious over trivial and petty matters.
5. Lastly, IGNORE. There will always be things that you cannot avoid running into, like your ex or whoever who made an impact in your life. But, you have the power to choose to walk past them and live your life the way you want it to be. Grab your favorite cup of tea while pairing it with your favorite biscuits by the garden. You do you.
So there you have it. May these tips help you get on your feet and find balance in your life. I know, it sucks being left in a situation where you do not know where you stand in his/her life. It is frustrating to the point of asking yourself questions that you know will just hurt you.
Also, it pays to have friends who understand you and will not judge you on your decisions. If you have them, treasure them. They are gems amid a pile of rocks.
